Lakewood Police Chief Gives A Call For Prayer

Most all are aware that 4 police officers were slain in a coffee shop in Lakewood yesterday. For those who do not live in the Puget Sound area, Lakewood is near Tacoma, south of Seattle.

Chief Bret Farrar, speaking to the press, spoke of the difficulties the families of those who were slain will now face. He concluded his statement to the press with, "Please keep our families and Lakewood Police in your prayers."

The slain officers are: Sgt. Mark Renninger, 39, survived by a wife and 3 children; Ronald Owens, 37, survived by a former wife and a daughter; Tina Griswold, 40, survived by her husband and 2 children, and Greg Richards, 42, survived by a wife and 3 children.

Please take a moment and remember these families in prayer as they deal with this loss.

We would also remind you---especially those who live in the area, to be aware of other opportunities to reach out to these families.

God bless you.

Amen

I was horrified to read of this - and then see all the other shootings of police officers that have occurred recently. I hope that somehow that any cause can be identified and somehow mitigated - it is far too stressful for someone to go to work in a day with the liklihood of being a literal target.

To anyone who has a loved one taken from them, I want to tell you this, that God is able to reach them wherever they went, that he is able to talk to them and tell them things you wanted to but didn't.

If you are in doubt as to what is their future, you may ask God if he will tell them ".........."
whatever it is.
Those that are with the Lord, don't want to come back. They want us to go where they are. They want us to find the Lord and abide in him, that we one day will be where they are, with the whole family of God and all that is in Christ Jesus.
Pray to God and where you find your peace with him, there you will find the truth that you can rest in. Yet, they will be missed here and that's something only God can get us through. God heals everything in time and will make everything right because of Jesus.

Thin blue line - a facebook page asks that you change your profile picture to theirs until the funeral services for these brave officers.

It is a blue line to represent those in uniform, on a black background to honor the fallen who have gone before.

Check it out. It is a small token to give.

The legal system really failed
the public on this one. The guy was let lose back east. Then came here got into more trouble and some judge grantd him bail and a jail bondsman covered the bail.

Four families lost a wife , mother
father ,husband and a loved one.
How ,very ,very sad. :(
