Obama Names Ex-NARAL Legal Director to his Team
Thank you to all who responded to me personally yesterday, making yourself available to write letters, make phone calls and encourage others to do so as well, as we begin to communicate with elected officials on the issues of reducing or eliminating funding to Planned Parenthood and defeating Senator Ed Murray's bill to legalize homosexual marriage in Washington State.
Your help is needed. If you would help us as we move forward, please contact me personally at gary.randall@faithandfreedom.us .

Obama Names Ex-NARAL Legal Director to his Team
Pro-life leaders feel that President-elect Obama's dedication to promoting abortion is underscored by the selections he is making as he assembles his team.
Two recent appointments have raised the concern of many in the pro-life movement.
Dawn Johnsen, a prominent pro-abortion lawyer, has been named by Obama to serve as a member of his Department of Justice Review Team. She is a long-time abortion advocate and was Legal Director for NARAL from 1988 to 1993. She presently is a professor at Indiana University School of Law.
Mike Fitcher, executive director of Indiana Right to Life, told Steven Ertelt at Life News, "Obama's pick is disturbing evidence that the promotion and advancement of abortion on demand will be a high level priority for the incoming administration."
Just yesterday, Lifenews.com, reported yet another disturbing appointment. Ertelt said that although Obama told voters during the presidential election that he would work with both sides of the abortion debate to reduce the number of abortions, his actions are not matching his words.
He has now selected Ellen Moran to become the White House Communications Director. This is a high level position.
Moran is presently serving as the executive director of EMILY's LIST. The sole mission of EMILY's LIST is to spend tens of millions of dollars promoting pro-abortion candidates for elected office. In fact they have a policy that they will only support Democratic women who, like Obama, are in favor of taxpayer funding of abortion and oppose any limits that would reduce abortions like the partial-birth abortion procedure.
Ertelt gives a very interesting perspective on why Obama chose her.
It is clear that the abortion industry is poised to advance it's activities and profits under the guise of "health care".
Faith and Freedom is not willing to simply stand by and discuss the "burning of Rome" with other groups. We are committed to doing something about it. Although the pro-life and pro-marriage and family community has taken a shot in this past election, the ultimate outcomes are not inevitable. People of faith can still stand against this attack on the very foundations of our culture and it is possible that we can see extraordinary things happen.
Thanks for standing with us. God bless you.
