The Homosexual "Moral Approval" Agenda

Recently, Senator Ed Murray, D-Seattle, openly gay and leader of the gay agenda in the Washington State Legislature, sent a message to Faith and Freedom, telling us that he was going to present a bill for gay marriage in the 2009 legislative session. His message was posted on our website comments.

Several years ago, I, along with a couple of Christian lawyers, was mocked for saying that the homosexual agenda was in fact not about "equality" and" fairness," but was a slippery slope that would lead to so-called "gay marriage." As the push for benefits emerged, we again warned that it was an incremental step toward homosexual "marriage."

The legislature, after much conversation about fairness, equality and the like, began to pass "hate crimes" bills and then "benefits bills" in unprecedented volume.

The public and the elected officials were led to believe that this was a time for them to stand for fairness and tolerance, to be open minded and allow others equality and benefits even if they personally did not believe that homosexual relationships were appropriate. And they did.

Now we find that while their agenda was shrouded in smoke screens of equality, tolerance and benefits, it was something quite different that they really wanted.

As the gay community and Governor Gregoire feel they are approaching the time to realize homosexual "marriage," we now find that they want more than that. They want MORAL APPROVAL.

These other issues are no longer enough. They are now demanding that you actually forsake your religious and social Biblically-based beliefs and look upon homosexuality as a "good thing."

They are re-educating your kids in public school under the guise of tolerance and are using the legal system for court-ordered moral approval.

If you think I am overstating the case, you must read it for yourself.

Professor John Corvino, Ph. D., a philosophy professor at Wayne State University in Detroit, lays it all out. I suppose you could call it "straight talk" from homosexuals. (Read Article).

Corvino's column titled "Why Moral Approval Matters" was written a couple of months ago and has been circulating in several magazines and periodicals. A pastor friend of mine sent it to me.

The article begins with, "'The problem with you people,' my critic scolded, 'is that you're no longer happy with merely being left alone. You don't just want us to tolerate homosexuality. You want us to think it is right'. "

He adds, "Of course I want people to think that homosexuality is morally equivalent to heterosexuality: Why think otherwise?"

An in depth philosophical look at how morality and moral approval works in our society and why moral approval must be achieved by homosexuals follows. You should read the article for yourself.

In conclusion he says, "The alternative to avoiding or ignoring other people's disapproval is to try to reverse it. Reversing it means convincing them that same-sex relationships are not merely tolerable, but morally good."

He adds, "And that's what we should aim to do." I would add that it is well under way in public education and in the courts.

I'm reminded of the Scripture in the first chapter of Romans that references people who, "Became futile in their thoughts and their foolish hearts were darkened." The result was that they, "Exchanged the truth of God for the lie," with the result being, among other things, being given to vile passions, including "Men leaving the natural use of the woman," burning, "in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful."

The Bible clearly defines and condemns homosexual behavior as sin.

Yet there are those among us who are working to "reverse" Biblical teaching and existing norms, replacing them with their own truth that homosexuality is good and should be embraced by society.

Moral approval means that you not just tolerate it as we have been told to do, but now we are being called on to embrace it. Applaud it. Advance it. You are to support and reward those in our society who do so under the banner of fairness, tolerance, equality and acceptance.

Governor Gregoire is celebrated as such a person. Homosexual rights organizations have been heralding her as the Governor who has signed more pro-homosexual legislation than any Governor in the history of the state. That is true.

Moral approval means you reject people, businesses and persons who do not morally approve of homosexual behavior.

You are asked to revise or reject Biblical teaching.

If you stand against homosexual behavior you are hateful, bigoted and immoral.

You know that this agenda is well under way in public education. They are "reversing" the Biblical teaching that you and your church and our society have traditionally held. They are using education as indoctrination.

Their agenda is well under way in the courts as well. Here are a few examples:

* A Christian ministry in New Jersey was investigated by the state after it declined a civil union ceremony for two women on it's property. The women could have gone elsewhere and eventually did, but continued to press legal charges. Why? To force moral approval.

* A complaint was filed against a photographer in New Mexico who declined to photograph a homosexual "commitment" ceremony. The couple found someone else, but still filed the complaint. Why? Moral approval.

*A counselor in Georgia was fired because she referred a woman in a same-sex relationship to another counselor for relationship counseling. The second counselor provided the needed counseling, but the lesbians still demanded that the first counselor be fired. And she was. Why? Moral approval.

*I wrote about the case of a woman in California who was in a same-sex relationship and wanted to be artificially inseminated. The first doctor declined on the basis of a policy against inseminating a woman who was unmarried. The first doctor referred the woman to another doctor who successfully preformed the procedure. The woman now has three children, but is still pursuing the first doctor in court. Why? Moral approval.

They don't care if you must violate your own beliefs and conscience, as long as they can ease their own.

Your Legislature is consistently passing laws under the guise of fairness, benefits, equality and tolerance which have now become the building blocks for the next wave. MORAL APPROVAL.

Sadly, Senator Ed Murray must feel that he has or nearly has critical mass in Washington's Legislature. A time when an adequate number of lawmakers have been re-educated or "reversed" and now feel it would be a moral act to advance so-called gay "marriage".

Faith and Freedom is working tirelessly to remind, encourage and nudge every Christian and person of faith to vote in this election. Your financial support would help a great deal at this time. Thank you and God bless you.

This is so true. They do just want moral approval. I grew up for 10 years with my mother and her lesbian lover, that relationship ended and now many years later she again is in a relationship with a woman. She calls herself a Christian. She knows my views. I have not said anything hateful, refused to see her. She has told people that I am hateful towards her, and refuse to see her. I got an email from a friend of hers telling me what a hateful person I was and a horrible Christian. But it does come down to, even in her conversations with me, that she wants my approval, she doesn't care about me loving her despite her lifestyle.

Gee, anyone think the new Elway poll, which shows Gregoire with a 12% lead over used car salesman Rossi (51- 39%), has Gary a bit concerned? Better whip up the gay hate, it's been taking a back seat to whipping up Obama hate these past few weeks.

Wouldn't it be interesting if a "spritual" leader had something to offer besides hate?

Yes, please donate as much as you possibly can, Sarah has her eye on a Louis Vitton handbag and a stylish pair of Jimmy Choo's at Nieman Marcus, and prayer just isn't going to cover the bill!

anon 10:23. Gary is right. If you disagree or fail to "approve" you are hateful. You have proven Gary to be right.

Compare the first post on this blog with the second one. I see no hate in Gary's blog. I see him speaking the truth according to the Bible and being attacked for it. Thanks Gary. We are with you.

Obama has been "reversed" because he said he believes that Jesus taught in the Sermon on the Mount that homosexuality was O.K. ???

After the gays have reversed everyone's beliefs about homosexuality what will they want next. Probably polygamy with multiple partners in their marriage.

How far will Gregoire go on the gay thing. Does she support gay marriage?

What does it matter? Dino has said multiple times that he "isn't running" on your anti-gay hate.

I know replying is pretty pointless but I will point out that all of gary's examples are ones were all situations where the business was discriminating according to sexual orientation.

In Washington state its always been marriage equality as the goal, openly stated, no secret agenda. And as far as 'moral approval', that would imply I think you are either moral or anyone that I would seek the approval of. We can at least agree that isn't my concern can't we?

You and yours are totally free to practice your sect's religion as long as you don't pretend and treat me as if I also practice it.

12What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? 13God will judge those outside.

This all goes back to the premise that sexual orientation cannot be "chosen" and that if a person "feels" gay-they must be allowed to practice and now be accepted.

So, if someone "feels" feelings towards children, are they the victim? Shouldn't we accept them? Shouldn't the photographer be forced to work for them?

Why not? It is their "sexual orientation".

There is a point of no return. It is passed when homosexuality is accepted as "ok".

As a liberal poster on this blog, I think I have some common ground with the FFN fans.

If Obama is elected president, like you, I would love to see Sarah Palin as the Republican Nominee in 2012!

Anon 10:13-my heart goes out to you! You are obviously attempting to show unconditional love--someday prayerfully your mom will 'feel this'!
Anon 11:19--those clothes of Palens,to go charity after the election.
ANON.11:43-Dino has said he is for authentic marriages/for life, but does not use these believes in his campaingn--he concentrates on the other impoortant issues--taxes/ economy/traffic, etc etc!

Yes, giving it all to Charity is what they say now that they've been caught. Ask yourself this, just what is a homeless person going to do with a Louis Vittun handbag and a pair of Jimmy Choo's?

As for Dino saying he is against marriage equality and reproductive choice, when he is speaking in private before Christianist audiences. The rest of the time he tries to hide and minimize his connections to these extremists in a dishonest attempt to make himself more palatable to the majority of WA voters.

Silly question: One entirely involves people who are 100% considered able to make their own choices about sexuality and one doesn't. Its illegal to have sex with all children, its not illegal to have sex with other consenting adults.

mmhhh! One thing that isn't in this senario is God's action. Have some faith! He can be very jealous towards other false gods. We are his children(the children of the light), He will defend us in battle. For those of you who don't believe in God the Father,Jesus Christ his Son,and the workings of the Holy Spirit. You are in for a BIG surprise! Other things are in the works! This could be the beginning of the end of all that is wrong with our country and the world. Sorry, but the truth will set you free.

Mick,

Good response!!

BTW - I do think that God cares when those who use his name go about nosing into other people's business - esp. their sex lives (isn't that kinda weird anyway???).
