Obama Is A Promisekeeper; To Planned Parenthood
A working draft of the Democratic Party platform for their convention this month shows that Obama is keeping his promise to Planned Parenthood.
Obama is committed to legislation that could strike down any pro-life laws that any state has passed.
It also appears that Obama has been willing to lie to support his extreme pro-abortion positions in the past.
Steven Ertelt, editor of LIFENEWS.COM has written several articles on this matter lately. He has obtained a draft of the platform for the Democratic Party. There has apparently been some dissension within the Party over the abortion issue, but Obama has prevailed.
The platform expresses support for the so-called "Freedom of Choice Act." Obama promised Planned Parenthood last summer that the "Freedom of Choice Act" will be the first bill he will sign as President.
Ertelt and others feel the measure would overturn all the pro-life laws nationwide.
He has said previously, "That piece of legislation would overturn any laws that any state legislature has passed---for example, prohibiting taxpayer funding for abortion, allowing parents a right to know when their teenage daughter is considering having an abortion, a right to know or informed consent, or any other common sense limits like partial birth abortion laws that we've put on the books."
Ertelt considers Obama the most pro-abortion Presidential candidate we've had since Roe v. Wade.
He and others have pointed out that while Obama was a State Senator in Illinois, he opposed a bill that would have protected babies that survived a botched abortion.
When confronted, Obama said he opposed the bill because it did not contain language that protected Roe v. Wade as the federal bill did.
The truth?
Ertelt has said that new documents reveal that Obama opposed the bill even though it had the exact same language contained in the federal bill.
Just as Planned Parenthood has purchased Obama, they are systematically buying favor with many of the lawmakers in Washington State while acquiring a significant influence on what our kids are taught in public school. Gregoire has been their new best friend.
I sincerely hope and pray that America and Washington State will awaken and get a sense of what is at stake in this upcoming election.

The truth?
The truth is that the legislation was mere political vanity - Illinois already had legislation on the books that not only required doctors to support any child born from an abortion procedure. In fact even required that the doctor choose the abortion technique that would most likely result in a live birth if an abortion had to be performed when the fetus might be viable.
The statute was amended in the last meeting to be identical to the federal statute, all of the previous times before the committee it was not. Whether Senator Obama just overlooked that the amendment just pasted made it identical or not I don't know. What he would know is that the bill effectively added nothing new to the effect of current illinois legislature. Vote for it or against it, viable newborns from late-term abortion procedures were equally protected, actually more protected than the proposed legislation mandated.
Do try and remember:
Roe v Wade only gives a woman unrestricted choice in the first 3 months of pregnancy, the time when over 90% of abortions occur.
Illinois only allows late-term abortions if the mother's life or health is at risk by continuing the pregnancy like many other states.
Oh and your anti-choice stance aside I'm glad to see you got your internet name paid for - I went to do it myself but someone else beat me to it. (there are cheaper sources too!)
