Faith and Freedom Network: Who Will Lead America?

Wednesday, February 06, 2008

Who Will Lead America?

They called it "Super Tuesday," now some are calling it "Chaotic Tuesday."

While the media pundits assured their audiences that there would be definite leaders in each party after Tuesday--they were wrong. Again.

It seems that both Hollywood and conservative talk radio may have taken a hit yesterday. The traditional Hollywood crowd has and did support Hillary Clinton and she did not prevail. Conservative talk radio, generally, strongly supported Mit Romney. It is said that Romney is reevaluating his candidacy this morning.

Both Clinton and Obama are claiming victory this morning, while NBC News is saying that, after looking at the Democrat's complex formula for giving out delegates, Obama will end up with 840 to 849 delegates and Clinton will have 829 to 838. Both are claiming victory and moving ahead with their campaigns.

McCain won the most delegates which now gives him more than twice as many as his nearest rival.

However, Republicans are fractured as to who they think should lead. Some evangelicals are saying they cannot vote for McCain as a matter of conscience and will continue to support Huckabee. There are those Republicans who are saying they do not believe Huckabee can beat either Clinton or Obama. Romney supporters are waiting to hear from the candidate regarding his future.

So, who should lead America?

There are two things that I believe every citizen should do in regard to this watershed election.

First, think deeply and deliberately about it. John Jay, first Chief Justice of the Supreme Court said, "The Americans are the first people whom heaven has favored with an opportunity of deliberating upon and choosing the forms of government under which they should live."

Some are saying that the deliberation, which is sometimes very contentious, is destroying the parties or even the political process. This is not true. It has historically been healthy for our form of government.

We have provided links to a number of resources, which will give you information on election dates, voter registration, Republican Party, Democratic Party, caucuses and primaries, and candidates for President and Washington State elected offices. Take some time and become as knowledgeable as possible. (Go to the Vote! section of the website).

Secondly, pray. I mean really pray about it. I personally believe God cares about the deliberations of this nation and who will lead America. I believe God will lead individuals, who seek His guidance, in how they vote.

In fact, I would suggest that all people of faith pray each day for God's will in these elections.

And finally, you've got to actually vote. All the knowledge and deliberation will be of no value if we do not vote.

We will provide as much information, inspiration, and motivation as we possibly can in the coming months, but at the end of the day, it's up to you.

God bless you and God bless America.

Don't forget the most pro-family, pro-life, consistent Christian Republican Presidential candidate, Ron Paul!

He's got the best record of integrity, honesty, and Christian values
of any candidate. Here's his statement of faith:
http://www.ronpaul2008.com/homeschoolers/statement-of-faith

He's endorsed by many pastors:
http://www.ronpaul2008.com/endorsements#pastors

He's also the most pro-life. Unlike the other guys, he's a man of
action, not just words. He was just endorsed by Pro-Life activist
Norma McCorvey ('Jane Roe' of Roe v. Wade). She said "Ron Paul doesn't
just talk about being pro-life, he acts on it":

He was the only candidate who bothered to show up at the March for
Life in DC this week.

He's a medical doctor who's delivered over 4000 babies. He's got 5
kids, 18 grandchildren, and has been married to his wife Carol for
over 50 years.

Focus on the Family and their affiliate groups would LOVE Dr. Paul if
they got to know him. As a conservative Christian, I can't support
anyone else!

He's beat Rudy and (ex-candidate) Fred soundly so far in early
primaries/caucuses. He's set all kinds of fundraising records. And
momentum is building every day.

I hope you'll decide to support Ron Paul and his message of life and liberty.

Have a GREAT day!
