The Case For Life
As Roe v. Wade turns 35 and the abortion debate continues, some things have become very clear.
The abortion controversy is not a debate between those who are pro-choice and those who are anti-choice, as some would want you to believe. It's not about privacy rights or trusting women. To the contrary, the debate turns on one key question.
It turns on the question: "What Is The Unborn?"
I have provided a link to The Case For Life website. It addresses the issue of life a bit different than you may have heard it before.
In honor of "Life," may I suggest two things that would be appropriate?
First, take a little time today or over the weekend and read the material on The Case For Life site. I feel it will be helpful to you personally and will also be helpful in articulating your pro-life belief to friends and colleagues. Most of us in the pro-life family understand the Biblical and Christian position on life. This information will give you a different perspective that will lead to the same place.
Secondly, please consider going to Olympia on Monday and participate in the "Walk For Life." Jon Russell will be there. If you would like to meet with the elected officials from your district, contact Jon and he will facilitate that for you. You may call him at 1-800-731-5328, or email him at j.russell@faithandfreedom.us.
Don't forget the Barton meetings Monday evening in Vancouver and Tuesday evening in Tumwater. Also for those of you in Skagit County, you are invited to join us tomorrow morning. Information for all this is on our website.

God bless you.

Gary,
The difficulty I have with the Pro-Life movement is the essential fallacy in the name. They do not fulfill the mission except in the most limited manner - biological life for the unborn. When it comes to the larger issues of human life and promoting humanity and dignity of human beings throughout life I see this same community working its darndest to stamp out life.
As a result I chose not to involve myself with them but trust that God will make the ultimate eternal decision with respect to each soul - especially the decision regarding biological life snuffed out by Pro-Choice decision. It is unfortunate that the complex of life of these same souls in their post birth state is so often snuffed out in any number of other ways including poverty, ignorance, despair because of the not only the failure the Pro-Life Community to focus on life and dignity as whole but to actively advocate policies of death and oppression.
Sincerely,
Greg
