News Alert: Memo to Seattle School District

Minutes ago the Cherokee Indian Nation Choir was featured in The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. The Choir sang a traditional Christmas song in their native language. None appeared to be in mourning.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Concerning the school system official who stated that Thanksgiving might more properly be viewed as a day of mourning for native Americans, undoubtedly there are elements of truth to her "11 myths" of Thanksgiving. We do tend to embellish historical events sometimes over the years. The thing that bothers me, however, was the tone of her remarks. She obviously had an ax to grind and she was aiming a salvo at Christians with her remark about the pilgrims being "rigid fundamentalists" whose motive in settling the new world was not religious freedom but stealing land from the native Americans.

Oh please excuse my comment, I am so distraught with guilt I can't think straight. I need to see my analyst and get an anti-depressant. Oh if only my ancestors would have stayed in Europe, and the ancestors of native Americans wouldn't have migrated here from Siberia, I wouldn't be so depressed.

I hope you sent a letter to the Seattle public schools, with a cc: to the newspaper!
Don't need to publish this.

By all means, GO back to Europe ( Old Europe) and enjoy their high taxes and liberal pot smoking, disease infested place. And please do see your analyst and enjoy your anti-depressant. Hope it helps you provide the Christmas lights you need deep inside your head :-) cause you really need it! Give my regards to your schrink!

To Jack in Seattle!

Go get a life! It tells that you really are bitter in life! All you do is negate, negate, negate! I am sure you are one perfect individual that is sooo good in casting stones, yet you fail to see yourself in the mirror that your heart is sad and bitter. Now you try to infect people with your bitterness. You fail to see yourself that you too carry your own failures!!! Go ahead keep casting stones, I am sure you are one without sin anyway!

I appreciate you concern re: Jack. I am wondering if there is a better/more mature/more Christ-like way to express it?

Patrick
