Happy Easter
We want to take a moment to wish you and your family a happy and blessed Easter.
As we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, let us remember the exchange at the tomb between the angel and those who came seeking Him (Matt. 28:5-6). While the guards were shaken with fear, the angel said, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified, He is not here, for He is risen, as He said.”
He is Risen, Indeed!
Also, thank you to the initial response to the "Change the State in ’08" Campaign. Your response has been overwhelming and we thank you. This is not something that any one person can do, but as we come together in prayer and action, under God and with His blessing, there will be change.
The strategy meetings for “Change the State in ‘08” are being planned as we speak and dates are being confirmed. Be sure to check the website often to see new dates and locations for these meetings. Please contact Jon Russell at j.russell@faithandfreedom.us if you are interested in attending one of these meetings.

Happy Easter!

So here we shamelessly mix our right wing politics with literally the most important and holy events of mankind - the death of Jesus the Messiah for Salvation and the ressurection of a man from the dead for our mediation before God and glorification.
SHAME, SHAME, SHAME ON YOU!!!
Human be quiet.
Human it is easy to see it is you posting at 10:30
A crackpot can't hide its cracks.
I have no intention of hiding. However, the password did not work. At present, I will not offer any conspiracy theories since I have experienced similar problems in the past and they have resolved over time.

Truly, a joyous celebration of our Lord's resurrestion! What a gift to all mankind who will believe!
The emphasis is not on "human" but on Jesus the risen Lord.
For all who claim Christ, let us consider how to be united in him instead of all the divisions. One way is to check the divisive points as to whether they are basic to salvation. If they are about other issues, let us each search our hearts and ask the Lord to reveal his will on any matter.
Jesus is the only "religious" leader who is NOT in his tomb! Is that not something to rejoice about?
Hey 216 ,
Thanks for the pick us up . Have to work Easter but thats cool .
Hope you can some good time with family and friends .
God Bless Mick
Anon 2:16
My point exactly.

JC -
I appreciate your point. And, as OV knows, you do not need to "agree" with me to have my respect and peace.
However, the poster that I was referring to IS, in fact, demonized. This is not a term of disrepect, it is simply a reality that is apparent by the foaming at the mouth and outright lies that constantly stream forth from within him/her/them. Jesus set people like this free but not without first pointing out the demon(s) that were binding them.
I would point out that I strongly suspect Gary has been given over to a reprobate mind - Jon is well on his way unfortunately. They have chosen to spin and lie as a means of earning an income. Too bad - there is a lot of good they could do in the name of Christ instead of mocking Jesus almost daily by lying and using His name as a prop for their politcal canard and drive towards fascism and oppression.
However, I am curious, do you consider yourself fully submitted in heart and mind to a risen and glorified Jesus of Nazareth? You have my peace and respect regardless but I was under the impression that you did.
Also, just as important, I am always open to correction from anyone - including Mick - who has corrected me at least once in a very positive manner. I am, of course, not open to being corrected by insanity or demons - I suspect you will concur in this matter.
Sincerely,
In Christ

Human,
Ever get into the theology debate of can a Christian have a demonic spirit possess him or her ?
I have heard it talked about on radio , and even in a sermon once .
From one point of view , a Christian can not be possessed by a demonic spirit , they can be hassled by them however . I have never heard it defended or stated from the other view .
Human,
You just won't stop. I am not demon possessed and have perfect peace with my Savior, Jesus.
You are the one with the "bitter spirit" - constantly clothed in the words "peace and respect". Your insistance in your way may be because you are afraid to let go of your preconceived notions. You have some truths of the gospel and then have this cloud of accusations because from your point of view, Gary and others appear to be lying.
Something in you thinks that Gary and others have bad motives. This is just not true. Maybe it is from some experience you had with someone who claimed Christianity and you trusted implicitly and then felt betrayed by them. I suspect you have come out of the hippy generation where weed and other elements were involved in relating to and with people.
When a person has to or wants to smoke weed and call themselves Christian, I am sorry, but this just does not register.
You have the basic elements of what a Christian is but seem to have to hold it together with the "peace of weed" instead of the peace of God. You may assert different; but, consider what this means. Can you think and act without the weed?
Ephesians 4:19-24, "Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, with a continual lust for more.
You, however, did not come to know Christ that way. Surely you heard of him and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness."
Gee human get a little confused in all your different names you post under?
YOu say:
JC -
I appreciate your point. And, as OV knows, you do not need to "agree" with me to have my respect and peace."
JC didn't even post on here. Besides he too closely resembles you. He is you as is Vishanti.
Regardless, I hope you have a wonderful Easter. It is a special day. Hope you can find some peace.
Frankly, anon at 11:04 is correct. Sorry but it is very clear from your posts and charades that--well--you are faking being a Christian. What a waste of your time to play such games.
Anon 11:04
If your posts were as intelligent, thoughtful and rational as the one you just posted instead of the nature of the Anon 6:15, I would not suspect you of being demon possessed or "influenced".
BTW - you are however hung up on "weed" - no point in doing so.
If you do indeed have perfect peace with Christ as you claim, then I hope that you will use some kind of handle to distinguish yourself and that you will related to me in love/kindness as Christ did for all of us. I look forward to that kind of relationship with all men especially those who believe.
Sincerely,
In Christ,
Human
Mike,
Interesting question -
About 20 - 25 years ago there was quite an emphasis on demonic activity among Christians - you may recall Win Worely (sp?), etc.
I do not believe Anon 6:15 knows Christ - I doubt you believe Anon 6:15 knows Christ based on his ludicrous posts. It is clear from his/her post that he is foaming at the mouth and lying.
Whether a genuine, born again human being can be demon possessed is probably unlikely (no scriptural basis that I am aware of) - probably "influenced" would be a better word. I believe Gary is "influenced" at this point due to his inability to speak truth and his need to twist and spin for partisan advantage - this is anti-Christ.
Sincerely,
In Him who is Pure and the Truth,
Human
Correction -
Mike s/be Mick (my apologies).
Anyone see "Amazing Grace" about John Wilberforce? What a great movie to show that Christians can and should be involved in politics.
Anon 1:25
Wilberforce worked to set men free using truth - not to oppress them and using spin and lies.
If Christians were to work in that manner and at the same time express their concerns re: certain peaceful behaviors to pull men out of their sin, they would have my 100% support.
Peace,
in Christ,
Human
"Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven."
Sounds like a political statement. One I truly feel fits this perfect day. Right or left wing aside.
Randy - you're a breath of fresh air!
Mick - a cold, sunny day in Boston for the Opening Day crack of the bat! Best to the Sox AND to the Mariners -
he “Emanuel” of Christmas spoken of by the Prophet Isaiah 700 years before His birth, was also described in His death in undeniable detail by the Psalmist, a 1000 years before his crucifixion.
Easter represents to Christians worldwide, the atoning sacrifice of God’s only begotten Son for our sin, the “propitiation” or removal of God’s wrath for our sin, words our present godless secular society wishes to ignore, if not forget altogether.
Of interest to the unbelieving, highly “enlightened” amongst us—you would think—is that He was written about hundreds of times before He was born, spanning two millennia. A fair and objective mind should find that not only interesting, but compelling!
Behold ... The Lamb of God
Herod knew of His birth and sought to have Him killed as a baby. Like so many in modern America who want no evidence of His authority over all mankind, Herod was willing and desirous of removing any memory of Him from Judean life. But it was more than that. To Herod, Jesus—even as a baby—was a threat to his power and political control of Judea, and his reputation before Caesar. And so it is today amongst men who love power, wealth and standing.
John the Baptist, in announcing the coming King said, “Behold, The lamb of God, Who takes away the sin of the world.” It was John the Baptist who moved noticeably in his mother’s womb when Mary—newly pregnant with the baby Jesus—came into his presence. Will we be so moved? Are we now?
Satan also knew who He was and sought eagerly to destroy Him through Herod, and then later sought to deceive Him—the Christ Himself—just as he does today in the life and minds of all men. His authority was feared, not wanted.
And we? We know Who He is...and ignore Him, or act as if He is nothing to us. We want Him to save us...while we play our little religious games, but prefer He leave us alone and to our own plans.
Amazing Grace
It is this Jesus who gives us LIFE and TRUE LIBERTY from the enslaving power of sin and self, and the opportunity to pursue happiness. It is this Jesus who motivates us to reveal to the world His kindness, His Mercy and His Grace. Grace the likes of which the writer of ‘Amazing Grace’ came to know as a slave trader set free from the fetters of his trade.
It was Christ who said, “I am come that ye might have life and have it abundantly.” And yet secular, unbelieving men and women run from Him, not to Him!
Amongst the great number of voices who use His name—not in reverence—but as a curse, He and His people are mocked, scorned, impugned, persecuted, tortured and murdered around the world, as ‘sheep for the slaughter’ at the hands of the ‘enlightened’ amongst us whose self absorbed and foolish plans lead them...and others, to death and destruction, all whilst they ignore and deny His lovingkindness.
And many of these sit on the benches of our courts as “judges”. Many more sit in academic institutions across the land, teaching our children, whom we have sent to them for a “higher” education. Others lurk on the Internet, seeking entrance into our homes to spoil the innocence of our children. Still others live in our communities, lusting after our children, both boys and girls.
He Alone Is Worthy
Is it any wonder that the human species continues to wallow in a history of depravity, hatred, violence and jealousy, full of rage, covetousness and anger? Is it any wonder that we have enraged, confused, nihilistic and self absorbed youth killing their fellow students and then themselves; child molesters, rapists, murderers and drug addicts; pimps, prostitutes and pornographers; anarchists, butchers, flag burners and pedophiles; homosexuals and lesbians; all expressing their Constitutional ‘right’ to “freedom of ‘expression””?
If it were not for Him who was born in a manger in Bethlehem...visited by Kings of the East...pursued by the authorities, crucified and resurrected from the dead...there would be no peace, no hope...of any kind on the earth, certainly not in the hearts of men, nor in our families and communities, nor in our country.
Worship Him and Him only this Easter, dear friends, for He alone is worthy!
Unchanging Love
Look at your children with the eyes of Christ. Love them with His enduring and sacrificial love. Teach them about Jesus and His love for all mankind, and what He has done for each and all of us. And if you have wandered far from Him, know that He has overcome your wayward and saddened soul, your sin and shame, your guilt and self-hatred. He died for you.
There is nothing you can do to earn His mercy, save accepting His loving sacrifice on your behalf and in your place. He atoned for your sin, and satisfied the justifiable wrath of God the Father against all sin. He took it all upon Himself, that you might be free, and “if the Son sets you free, you are free indeed!”
Today, peer into the face of Him who was “slain before the foundations of the earth”, for you. Give Him your sin stained life, and let Him cleanse you by His Spirit. Receive Him in “joy unspeakable” as you accept His forgiveness and His unchanging love.
This Easter, simply believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for you, to cleanse you from your sin, and give you new life. Trust Him, as a little child who runs to his daddy for protection, knowing he will find it in his fathers arms. “For by grace are you saved by faith. It is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast.”
Randy,
Note that that was Jesus prayer for GOD to do His will, to bring His judgement on the world (ICor5:12, 13) rather than for men to make Jesus King and to wrestle against flesh as the Evangelical Relgious Right does.
Mimi is young and does not understand these basic truths of the Kingdom of God. I am hoping some exposure to the Word of God rather than wolves in sheeps clothing will be beneficial if she chooses to have an ear to hear.
Sincerely,
In Christ,
Human
Anon 10:14
With all due respect this is the biggest bunch of anit-Christ, pseudo-pious horse manure I have ever heard in my life.
When you meet the risen Christ, you don't go through all the mixing of the flesh with your religious philosophy but you find the simply Christ Himself is all things in all - and you will find that the common people will hear you gladly.
With all the hatred and evil you have twisted the Kingdom of God into, no common person will hear you at all.
Sincerely,
In Christ,
Human
Anom 125 .. I heard it was a great movie . It is good to see some many posiive faith based family movies coming out as of late .
Hi Mimi ... We were snowed out in Clevland .. Can you believe that ..
Dear Human,
I believe God knows our thoughts before we speak. So, more often than not, our words are to convince ourselves or others.
I also was actually referring to (Luke 11:2-4) or (Matthew 6:9-13) Often referred to as the Lords prayer which was given to us as an example or a guideline on how to pray.
I mean no disrespect but I have to make note of the Scripture you decided to use. You wrote (ICor5:12, 13) This said nothing about my quote but speaks about the Judgment of others. Was this a Freudian slip or did I miss your point?
From Wikipedia
“The opening pronoun of Matthew's version of the prayer—our—is plural, which is viewed by many as a strong indication that the prayer was intended for communal, rather than private, worship. “
Randy,
Agreed fully - and God knows our hearts much more deeply than we ourselves do although I pray for Him to tear asunder all that would impede His desire in myself and in those who genuinely wish to worship Him.
I think my concern was withh your use of the term and what you intended by "political". The civil system - the governmental system - is a system set up by ALL members of our society. Therefore, it is incumbent on the civil system/government not to deny or oppress ANY peaceful human being who supports it through their hard earned tax dollars.
It is up to God to judge those who are outside of Christ - that is the point of ICor 5:12,1 - rather than legislating oppression on certrain of those peaceful citizens who support government of ALL of us.
On the other hand, the Church of Jesus Christ, is a much more limited, voluntary community. We are to judge within the church. This is why I post here because of this very call - again I reference I Cor5:12, 13.
Does this make sense? In other words, it is HOW God's will is to be done - via His people in the church and via His Spirit on the entirety of humanity.
The reality is that this is profoundly simple and obvious throughout the NT; however, once a mind is darkened by the thirst for power or by deception because they are ignorant of the scriptures and lack humility to hear from above or some other sin, then the simple things of God become foolishness to them and they cannot hear. They then begin to function in the flesh and act dishonestly by spinning words and motivating by fear. This is the stock in trade of the Evangelical Religious Right. It is too bad - because there is much good they could do if they submitted themselves to Jesus and did the work of the Kingdom.
Best,
Human
